It's a new year and I'm feeling more motivated than ever to make 2026 another epic year. I took some time off social media to reflect, do some much needed soul searching, and to simple enjoy my family with minimum distractions. I'm back today to share my 3 non negotiable resolutions for 2026 as a busy homeschooling mom. Let me know if any of these resonate with you below.

Let People Be Wrong About You
I can't tell you how much I've been called 'selfish', a 'bad mom', and more things I'd rather not mention here (lol)...and this used to bother me (emphasis on the used). Now I understand like Don Miguel Ruiz says in his book The 4 Agreements that we must not take anything personally. We are all evolving at different speeds during this lifetime. So if someone doesn't like you, girl, get...that...dirt off your shoulders! (as the wise Jay Z raps)

Wear More Heels
When I first became a mom back in 2012, I thought being a mom meant letting go of my old identity entirely. I went from go-go dancing, doing plays, waking up at 5 am to jog around my town, dancing on teams and tours, modeling and running business to all of a sudden having my days filled with breastfeeding, diaper changes, and Netflix and chilling with my newborn in a spit up covered shirt. I had a full out existential crisis. Then, thankfully, when my son Eliel was about 4 months old God gave me a whisper...Moms Wear Heels, Monica. I sat up straight in my bed. I realized I could be me and a mom. I could still go out dancing. I could still start and run businesses. I could finish my college education. I could still practice self care and workout. And embrace my role (I love) being a hands on, homeschooling mother. Moms can still do the da** thing. Don't let anyone try to convince you otherwise, kay? #momswearheels

Make Your Goals a Priority
As a busy homeschooling mom of 4 with no nanny or maid, my days are always jam packed with things to be done. And sometimes fitness or lifestyle goals fall by the wayside as a result. If you can relate, I invite you to join me in this resolution: make your dreams and goals a priority in 2026 even as a busy mom. Maybe you can't work on the dreams 10 hours a day, but what can you do? Can you commit to 10 minutes a morning researching starting that business? Can you workout 15 minutes a morning before work to reach those fitness goals? Can you visit that college you've been daydreaming about attending and simply get a tour? Girl, do what you can. This is your one life. Live it fully, baby.

Well, there you have it! These are 3 of my non negotiable resolutions for 2026 as a homeschooling mom of 4. I hope they inspired you to keep living your best life as a mom.
Muah!

Yes but what if you walk awkwardly in heels? I wish I had more confidence to but I just feel weird in them :/
